Calum Chambers was one of the few Fulham players to emerge from a chaotic 2018/2019 campaign with his reputation enhanced. Signed as a partner for Alfie Mawson in central defence, the Arsenal loanee floundered at full back before starring as a holding midfielder. His reading of the game, range of passing and eye for goal made him a popular winner of the club’s player of the season award. He scored twice for the Whites: his first goal inspired a crazy comeback against Brighton and Hove Albion and he scored the first goal of the Scott Parker era against Chelsea.
