Oldham-born striker Stephen Humphrys forced his way into Fulham’s first team after a sensational scoring streak at academy level. He made just three appearances for the senior side whilst Chris Martin was out injured, but eventually moved on to gain regular football, joining Southend United in January 2019 after a strong loan spell at Roots Hall. Humphrys, who helped Wigan Athletic win promotion from League One, is currently on loan with Hearts.
