Aleksandar Mitrovic starred in a crazy Serbia first half against Montenegro with a sublime goal, a missed Panenka penalty and a punch on the back of the head.
The Fulham finisher put his side 2-0 up on 31 minutes with a genius volley but it wasn’t so good from there until the final whistle signalled a 2-1 win.
The high point was when Aleksandar Kolarov whipped a cross in from the left and Mitrovic used the top of his boot to spin the ball up and over the frozen keeper.
He then had the perfect chance to bag a brace after Manchester United midfield Nemanja Matic earned a comedy penalty.
The former Chelsea man edged into the box and got the ball stuck under his feet, the powerhouse took a wild swing and missed the ball before kicking the ground and falling over in a heap.
Referee Alberto Undiano somehow decided to point to the spot and the Fulham man stepped.
With his side already two goals up, Mitrovic was in a casual mood and dinked the ball down the centre of the goal.
But subtlety is not his strong point and the ball ballooned over the bar and into the crowd.
And the Serb’s night got even worse when Montenegro brute Marko Simic whacked him in the head.
At a Serbia corner the pair were jostling for position when the bruiser centre-back clenched a fist and jabbed the forward in the back of the head.
