Ealing-born midfielder Ollie O’Neill has shone for Fulham’s youth sides since moving to Motspur Park after Brentford scrapped their academy set-up in 2016. The Republic of Ireland under-21 made his under-18 debut for the Whites at Aston Villa in August 2018, skippering the side in 2021 and winning the Premier League’s scholar of the year award for his marvellous midfield performances. He was named on the bench for Fulham’s League Cup tie against Leeds United last September and made his Republic of Ireland under-21 debut the following month. After shining as Steve Wigley’s under 23s won promotion back to the PL2 top flight, O’Neill signed a three-year deal in July 2022.
