Fulham are on the verge of completing a deal to sign Celtic midfielder Stefan Johansen, according to various reports this morning,
The Norwegian midfielder has been a long-term target for Fulham – having been linked with a move to London earlier in the summer – and Jokanovic is keen on adding to his attacking midfield options. Johansen, who has scored twelve times in 73 appearances for the Scottish giants, does not feature in Brendan Rodgers future at plans at Celtic and has been allowed to look for a move.
Johansen, who was voted Scotland’s player of the year in 2014/2015, had previously been linked with moves to several English clubs – including Aston Villa. The 26 year-old starred as Strømsgodset won their first Norwegian title in 43 years back in 2013 and has also one won domestic championship with the Glasgow side. Fulham have reportedly agreed a fee of around £1.5m for the midfielder and he successfully passed a medical at Motspur Park yesterday.
