Promising winger Mesca had starred for Fulham’s academy sides before impressing Martin Jol during the club’s pre-season preparations in 2013. The Guinea-Bassau native was dogged by persistent injuries during his time at Craven Cottage and ended up making just one first-team appearance as a substitute in a derby defeat at Chelsea in September 2013.
