Dutch midfielder Chris David joined Fulham from FC Twente in January 2013 as Martin Jol fought off interest from Ajax. The attacking midfielder made his debut for the club in an FA Cup tie at Norwich City in January 2014 before memorably scoring an equaliser in stoppage time on the final day of Fulham’s relegation season against Crystal Palace. He made five appearances at the start of the 2014-2015 campaign in the Championship but dropped out of contention once Kit Symons succeeded Felix Magath and was released at the end of the season.
