Johnny Heitinga joined Fulham from Everton in January 2014 on a short-term contract in an unsuccessful attempt to help the Whites beat the drop. The experienced Dutch defender made his debut in a 2-2 draw at Manchester United in February 2014 and went on to appear fourteen times for the first team, scoring his solitary goal against Chelsea. He returned to Everton following Fulham’s relegation and is currently the reserve team coach at Ajax.
