Fulham winger Kerim Frei has been the subject of a £3million bid from Turkish club Besiktas.

The 19-year-old is keen to sign a five-year deal after falling down the pecking order under Craven Cottage boss Martin Jol.

Having won four caps for Turkey, the Austrian-born teenager made just eight appearances for West Brom last season after spending the first half of the campaign on loan at Cardiff.

Frei fanned the flames of rumours of a long-standing move to native Turkey on Monday when he tweeted: ‘Landed in Istanbul!’
