Slovakian international Marek Rodak is currently Fulham’s longest-serving player having signed for the Whites from Kosice in July 2013 after a successful trial at Motspur Park. The goalkeeper quickly became the under 18s number one and starred as Steve Wigley’s side won the Dallas Cup in 2013, making a stunning save in the semi-final penalty shoot-out. He made his under-21 debut in August 2013 as a sixteen year-old against Wolves pulling over another penalty save.
After helping the under 18s reach the FA Youth Cup final, Rodak scored the fifth goal in a comprehensive win over Aston Villa under 21s when his long clearance beat his opposite number. He had his first taste of senior football on loan with Farnborough, Welling United and Accrington Stanley before making his senior debut as Slavisa Jokanovic’s side won 2-0 at Wycombe Wanderers in the League Cup in 2017. Rodak won promotion from League Cup on loan at Rotherham in 2018 and spent another season with the Millers before usurping Marcus Bettinelli as Fulham’s senior goalkeeper.
He is closing in on a century of senior appearances for the Whites despite being replaced in Marco Silva’s starting line by summer signing Bernd Leno.
