Fulham midfielder Steve Sidwell knows recent matches have been entertaining but wants the last-gasp action to stop.
The Cottagers have started Martin Jol’s second season at the helm brightly and head into Sunday’s clash with Sunderland ninth in the Premier League.
Things could have been different had it not been for late goals at both ends in several matches this campaign, with Fulham fortunate to see Mikel Arteta miss a penalty at the death in last weekend’s 3-3 draw at Arsenal.
Sidwell told Fulham FC TV: “Obviously in terms of the entertainment factor we gave the fans their money’s worth. Playing-wise, it would be nice to get these last dying moments out of our system. We’ve been on the right end of some of them and the wrong end of some of them.”
