The Dempsey saga came to a dramatic end as the American attacker joined Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur from Fulham. After bids and enquiries from Aston Villa and Liverpool were rejected it seemed as if the American was set to stay at Fulham, but in a surprising turn of events a bid was made, and then accepted, from our North London counterparts for around £6m.
Dempsey leaves after 5 and a half memorable years at Fulham football club despite a bitter end to his term here, including scoring a marvellous chipped winner against Juventus in the Europa League and providing the goal which sustained Fulham’s Premier League status at the end of the 06/07 season – which set in place a remarkable 5 years for our club. HammyEnd wishes Dempsey the best of luck.

I would wish him luck had he conducted himself with the same dignity and respect for the fans as Dembele.
It will be interesting to see if, after playing in a system that has been tailored to suit his particular abilities, he gradually fades into mediocrity like our previous French rebel who threatened to withold his labour (if I recall correctly) if we didn’t sell him to Man U in the Jan transfer window, despite being told he could leave at the end of that season.
Did you notice that after Mr Saha was released by Spurs he suddenly started singing the praises of Fulham. I wonder why…
Guys spurs fan here, just how good is Dempsey?
I know a lot about Dembele and think he is amazing but just dont watch Dempsey regularly enough, he seems to be a great goal threat but unsure on his all round game.
Berba is a beast monster signing, I dread playing you this year
exceptional player. people dont mention he was our top provider of goals, as well as scorer. for example, against bolton, he recieved the ball with his back to goal and without looking turned and played a perfect through ball to ruiz, who scored. exceptional in the air, good in tight spaces, strong, hard worker. and a goal scorers instinct usually reseved for the best poachers in the country. a very, very underrated player. £6m is a steal.
