Dejagh celebrates scoring for Wolfsburg

Fulham seem set for a busy transfer deadline day as Wolfsburg manager Alex Magath confirms to local media that midfielder Ashkan Dejagh is on his way to join the London side. 26 year old Dejagh, who laid on 10 goals for Wolfsburg last season, has fallen out with Magath whilst entering the last year of his contract, meaning that he is available for a cut price fee of around £2m. The tricky winger plays on the right and is known for his pace and direct approach – fulfilling a much needed niche in Fulham’s squad – and despite playing for Germany throughout his career as a youth international is now playing for Iran, the country of his birth, for whom Dejagh has 2 goals in 3 games.

Dejagh is to be one of at least three incoming transfers completed by Martin Jol withint he next 24 hours with the Fulham manager confident of completing deals for Dimitar Berbatov and Kieran Richardson, as he goes about spending the money available from Dembele’s move to spurs.
