Fulham are attempting to sign Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey for £5m, according to a Daily Mail report this afternoon.
Martin Jol has identified the Welsh skipper as his first choice to replace Danny Murphy, who joined Blackburn on a free transfer last weekend. Ramsey, who made 34 league appearances under Arsene Wenger last season, is highly regarded at Arsenal and is happy to continue his development with the Gunners – although Fulham are mounting an audacious attempt to bring in the talented playmaker by offering him a guarantee of first-team football.
