Fulham have this evening confirmed the signing of Pavel Pogrebnyak from Stuttgart. The 28 year old, who shot to prominence with his role in Zenit St Petersburg’s UEFA Cup win and Russia’s impressive Euro 2008 qualification and tournament performances, joins on an initial 6 month contract with an option for a nominal fee. Having scored just 5 goals in the last calender year, Pogrebnyak will be hoping that this fresh start at the beginning of 2012 will be the start of a renaissance.
