There’s not much I can add to Chopper’s fine post on CCN remembering Roger Brown.
He was, of course, well before my time at Fulham but the memories of many others tell the story. As does the fact that he was a key part of Malcolm Macdonald’s fantastically enterprising side that so nearly went all the way to the top flight.
This was perhaps the moment he’ll be most remembered for:
Let’s hope the boys pay him a fitting tribute tomorrow night.
Cheers Dan. I watched that clip earlier to remind me who took the freekick. Happy days and undoubtedly the point where I became forever hooked on football and Fulham.
Six foot two eyes of blue, Roger Brown is after you !
Roger was my inspiration at AFC Bournemouth – he took our training for the youth team alongside Nigel Spackman – many memorable lessons in how to play the game – sadly missed !
