A deal had been rumoured for some time and it has been officially confirmed today that utility man Jonathan Greening has joined Nottingham Forest on a three year deal for an undisclosed fee. He did well when called upon and was an honest pro in his two seasons with us, best of luck to him. Forest have a good player there.

Shame – 600k and a 3 year contract were probably in the best interests of all parties but as it stands I think we will miss him in terms of strength & depth
no i dont think so, he is the type of player that is ‘easily’ replaced. not for 600k but on the other hand it gives us the opportunity to get a younger player in his place
Maybe – but whilst pre seasons aren’t much to go by – getting nailed by both Wimbledon & Stevenage suggests that playing the kids can be a risky strategy if you want to win stuff…
not necessarily from inside the club; the swiss lad we’re after plays in basically the same positions as greening, in the middle out wide and behind the forward so thats the type of deal i can see happening
