Zoltan Gera remained tight-lipped about the specifics of his talks with West Brom but has told the Birmingham Mail that he enjoyed some great times during his four years at the Hawthorns.
The Hungarian midfielder is expected to leave Fulham this summer and is in talks with his former club about a return to the Midlands. The 32 year-old said:
I don’t want to talk about my future as yet as there is a lot to sort out – so there is nothing more I can say about that at the moment.
But it would be correct to say I enjoyed my time at West Brom. I was there for four years and I was very happy there.
They gave me my chance in English football and I still love the club because I had some very good times and good memories.
We had good times while I was there, some big moments in my career. I remember returning to West Brom for Fulham and both times I had a wonderful ovation from the fans – you don’t forget things like that.
It stays with you. Those were happy times.
