Youth prodigy Gael Kakuta joined Fulham on loan in January 2011 having become frustrated with a lack of first-team opportunities at Chelsea. The winger made his debut as a substitute in the 3-2 over Blackburn Rovers in March and went on to make seven appearances for the club, scoring his only goal during a 3-0 win at Sunderland the following month. He returned to his parent club at the end of the season.
