Gael Kakuta has undergone a medical at Fulham this afternoon ahead of the teenager’s proposed loan move from Chelsea.
The French winger will solve Mark Hughes’ search for a dynamic wide player after the Whites ended their attempts to sign Shaun Wright-Phillips from Manchester City. Fulham were frustrated in their attempts to bring the England international to London as a permanent move proved elusive due to Wright-Phillips seeking an increase in his salary – and City were uninterested in a loan arrangement.
They moved on to Kakuta after Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti decided to allow the youngster to leave Stamford Bridge to gain first-team experience.
