The Whites have been linked with a big-money swoop for FC Twente forward Bryan Ruiz, who has scored 23 goals in 30 games this season for the Eredevisie leaders. A fee of between £10m and £13m would apparently be needed to prize the Costan Rican away from Steve McClaren’s side.
