I caught a bit of Neil Warnock, not a man who it’s difficult to develop a dislike of, on ITV last night admitting he didn’t want to lose Victor Moses.
By sheer coincidence, Fulham were amongst a whole host of clubs linked with a move for the Crystal Palace youngster yesterday. I haven’t seen enough of Moses to give an informed opinion, but what I’ve heard from Palace fans has been impressive. Warnock certainly suggested that the young protege, highly thought of for years by Eagles followers, has really kicked on in the last six months.
If he’s as good as the papers suggest, then Fulham probably won’t have a hope of getting him. Here’s an idle thought, though: regardless of ability, how cool would it be to see Jesus passing to Moses?
We’d be unstoppable then. Jesus and Moses on the pitch, the Pope supporting from Heaven and, of course, God managing the lads.
I am only young really, and when I was 14 i played against Moses in a Surrey cup final (he was playing for his school Whitgift). Whitgift won 2-1, with Moses scoring both goals. Even at the age of 14 he looked ridiculously better then anybody else on the field. Also i have attended some Palace games recently and he looks handy. I think he would be a worthwhile signing.
I tackled him once, it was a great moment.
Great story Mitchell. Which school did you play off? And has your footballing career taken off like his?
I played at Wilsons, in Croydon. I had trials at West Ham and Fulham, but I just wasn’t good enough, which is fair enough. Now I don’t play as much as I would like, mainly because of my studies, but nevermind.
Don’t see “Jesus” passing to many people, if he keeps up his present form.
Think that’s a bit harsh Ray. I feel that Greening’s been quietly effective.
