Algerian winger Hameur Bouazza struggled for form and fitness at Craven Cottage, scoring just once in 22 appearances spread over a couple of injury hit seasons. He dislocated his shoulder in only his first game against Middlesbrough, returning to bury a brilliant free-kick in an end-to-end 3-3 draw with Manchester City. Bouazza appeared to have all the attributes for success, plus an uncanny ability to do the completely unexpected, but was never fit enough to showcase his undoubted talent for too long.
