Darron Gibson will reject offers from Everton and Fulham to sign a new contract with Manchester United.
The Republic of Ireland international enjoyed an excellent season at Old Trafford, playing his part in United’s Carling Cup success and putting in a strong performance in their final victory over Spurs. Both Everton and Fulham were keen to try and tempt the 21 year-old with Europa League football, but Gibson is happy to stay with the champions.
It’s exciting. My contract is coming to an end so hopefully at the end of the month I’ll sign a new one. I want to have a proper go at it before I decide to go anywhere.
