Arsenal are closing in on the £10m signing of Ajax centre-half Thomas Vermaelen as Fulham defender Brede Hangeland is close to agreeing a new deal with the riverbank club.
Let’s hope that sentence is spot on. Somebody at Motspur Park had better find that pen.
