A very laudable gesture from FC United, who seem to recognise that the fans are the lifeblood of the game. It’s good to see such a well run club, with such noble aims, taking steps like these. They narrowly missed out on their fourth successive promotion this season and are still pulling in massive crowds for their level at Gigg Lane, even if their own stadium seems to be a realistic possibility now. If only a few top flight clubs could be persuaded to make such a bold move on the ticketing front.
