Roy Hodgson was left devastated by the manner of Liverpool’s late win at the Cottage yesterday.
In the first half Liverpool played very well and created some chances, and had they scored in that period I wouldn’t have been surprised.
In the second half we actually did much better, and created chances for ourselves and contained them better, so I’m really disappointed to concede a goal in the 92nd minute.
It’s a bitter blow after such a battling performance from our team. It’s very difficult to say too much about it because the disappointment of the goal is still too fresh in my memory.
Too true. A day later and it’s still pretty raw for me too. Take solace in this, though: we gave them a much better game than Manchester United and Real Madrid managed lately.
