The Telegraph is reporting that Fulham today rejected two bids for Jimmy Bullard. The second one is identified as being worth £5.75m plus Bolton right back Nicky Hunt in exchange.
That doesn’t really explain why Bullard would be in talks with Wanderers tonight as their opening sentence suggests. Make of it what you will.
Bullard is not worth that much, he is not that good, why are we soending £5.75 million on him, we spent £5 on muamba and in recent weeks he isn’t playing, we are spending too much money on players that we don’t need, the only thing that Bolton would benifit from this deal if we do sign him is that he can take free kicks bit nothing else, i hope we don’t sign him. Denilson would be better than him
Bullard is proven in the premiership. Denilson is not. End of discussion.
If you take the Times, though, Dan you’ll be waking up to entirely different story.
‘Bolton Wanderers are ready to meet Fulham’s asking price of £5 million for Jimmy Bullard. The 29-year-old midfield player, who was called up to the England squad last summer, has 18 months left on his contract at Craven Cottage, but talks over a new deal stalled when he indicated that he wanted his wages to be doubled to £50,000 a week. Roy Hodgson, the Fulham manager, would prefer to keep Bullard, but not at any price. Bolton made their move after they failed to convince Newcastle United to sell Joey Barton for £2 million.’
