Chris Coleman tops the shortlist to replace his good friend Iain Dowie at Coventry.
Sky Blues chairman Ray Ranson dismissed Dowie at a breakfast-time meeting yesterday — making him the 30th manager to leave a club this season.
Ranson now plans to give ex-Real Sociedad boss Coleman a cure for his pain in Spain.
The ex-Fulham boss and Wales defender left Real after a row with the new president and is instantly available.
But Nigel Pearson, who quit as Newcastle coach last week, and highly-rated Walsall boss Richard Money are also in the frame.
