Fulham captain Brian McBride is backing Roy Hodgson to guide The Cottagers to safety.
McBride has been forced to watch the upheaval at Craven Cottage from the sidelines, as Lawrie Sanchez was axed while he was still recovering from a dislocated kneecap.
Hodgson rode in on his white charger and McBride, who is still a month away from fitness, is expecting the experienced tactician to keep Fulham in The Premier League.
“The appointment of Roy Hodgson as manager will prove vital in transforming our season,” said McBride.
“From the conversations he has had with us it is clear that he knows his football, and his credentials speak for themselves.
“It’s crucial we all get behind him and work together to give ourselves the best possible chance of getting away from the relegation zone as soon as possible.”
Elliot Omozusi has echoed McBride’s sentiments, as he added: “He (Hodgson) is very experienced and he knows what he wants from his players.
“He knows how to win football matches and hopefully under him we can do good things.
“He’s told us he wants us to play football as much as possible and not to play like a relegation team, then hopefully we won’t be one. He just wants us to play as much as possible and show people what we can do.”
