Australian winger Ahmad Elrich joined Fulham on a free transfer following a contract dispute with South Korean side Busan I’cons and a successful trial at Motspur Park. He made his debut as a substitute against Birmingham City, missed an open goal against Liverpool and then failed to distinguish himself in seven further first-team appearances. Elrich was released in September 2007 and, after playing back in his native Australia, was sentenced to four years in prison for gun and drug offences in May 2011.
