Aaron Hughes is definitely out of Fulham’s opening game of the season at Arsenal this weekend after picking up an ankle injury in the final pre-season friendly at QPR.
Lawrie Sanchez will wait as long as possible before deciding on the exact composition of his back four for the trip to north London with both Phillipe Christanval, who is battling a knee problem and Ian Pearce, struggling with an ankle niggle, both considered doubtful for the London derby. That could see Zat Knight and Carlos Bocanegra paired together at the heart of the Fulham defence.
Lee Cook, who joined from QPR earlier this summer, is sidelined by a knee complaint.
