Republic of Ireland Under 21 international Michael Timlin has signed a new one-year contract with Premiership side Fulham.

Timlin, who played in two Cup matches for the Londoners last season, was pleased to extend his stay at the club, giving him the chance to establish himself in the first team:

“I had a few options, but I have got confidence in my ability and want to try and succeed at Fulham,” he said. “The manager told me that he could not promise me what would happen next season, but if I worked hard I would get a chance and that is all I can ask for.

“I enjoy being part of the setup at Fulham, the training is great and we have some very good players at the club. Hopefully next season I can increase my contribution and help the side to a successful season.”
