Fulham and Rangers have joined the chase for Everton defender Gary Naysmith.

The 26-year-old is coming to the end of his contract at Goodison Park and, as yet, has not signed a new deal.

A number of clubs are keeping tabs on Naysmith’s contract negotiations at Everton and are ready to swoop for him.

Everton are keen to keep the Scottish international and are thought to have offered him a new two-year deal which the player is thinking over.

Championship side Leeds are confirmed suitors of the full back and they are believed to have tabled a three-year deal to Naysmith in a bid to lure him Elland Road.

Now Fulham and Scottish outfit Rangers are believed to have declared an interest in the former Hearts man.

Fulham are in the market for a new left back after seeing a move for Manchester City’s Ben Thatcher during the January transfer window fall through at the last minute.

Rangers are also thought to be looking for a new full back with Gregory Vignal unlikely to make his loan move from Liverpool permanent and Michael Ball linked with a possible move away from Ibrox.

Naysmith is now weighing up his options and he is set to make a decision on his future in the next few weeks.
