Fulham boss Chris Coleman is closing in on signing Portuguese keeper Ricardo Baptista from Vitoria Setubal.
“We had him on trial here recently and we are trying to get him in,” said Coleman, who should sign the 18-year-old in the January transfer window.
“We are currently negotiating a price. Good young keepers are hard to come by at the moment, and if someone was injured we might have a problem.
“He has a lot of potential – he did very well when he was here for a week.”
Coleman is currently in talks with Dutch keeper Edwin van der Sar, who is out of contract next summer, about a new deal.
