Fulham defender Jon Harley has signed for Sheffield United.
The former Chelsea trainee has joined The Blades on a permanent basis after his end of season loan spell with West Ham United failed to bring a permanent move to Upton Park.
As a Fulham player, Harley had two loan spells with Neil Warnock’s side and the player has decided that his future lies at Bramall Lane from next season.
The defender has agreed a three-year deal and becomes the club’s first summer signing, as The Blades aim to push for promotion to The Premiership next season.
“I think Jon performs to his best when he is happy in his environment and I think it is true to say that he hasn’t been over the last few years,” Warnock told the club’s official website.
“That’s what he needs right now and I am expecting him to complement our left side which is a strong part of the team.
“He’s also a smashing lad in the dressing room and that is another reason why he will be an important signing.”
