Fulham have recalled Mark Hudson from his loan spell with Crystal Palace as Zat Knight is facing a three-match ban.
Hudson has been a revelation for the Eagles when putting in some star performances alongside Tony Popovic in the heart of the Palace defence, and boss Iain Dowie is gutted to see him go.
“It was a quality performance from a great lad who everyone’s grown to love here at Palace,” Dowie said of the 22-year-old’s last game against West Ham. “Of course we’d like to keep him, but unfortunately it’s just one of those things.”
Cottagers boss Chris Coleman could lose Knight for three games as his player faces trial by video after a clash with Blackburn striker Jon Stead on Monday night.
Coleman has been impressed with how Hudson has played while at Selhurst Park and the player could be set for action in the Premiership before the season is out.
