Fulham will miss out on a £265,000 windfall following their FA Cup triumph over Everton.
Had Everton won, the BBC planned to show their home clash with Alan Pardew’s West Ham at 5.35pm on 14 February.
But the Metropolitan Police have refused to allow fifth-round London derby to be moved to an evening kick-off.
Instead, the Match of the Day cameras – and the live broadcasting fees – will go to Sunderland, who are at home to Birmingham.
