Louis Saha reckons he is not good enough in front of goal and could be dropped by Fulham head coach Jean Tigana.
The French forward is worried that he will loose his place to new signing Steve Marlet, Luis Boa Morte or Barry Hayles if he doesn’t convert more of his chances in the top flight. The 23 year-old, who scored 32 goals as Fulham stormed to the First Division title last season, has scored three goals in three games during his first month in the Premiership, but believes he could pay the penalty for bad misses.
But he is furious with himself for not taking more of his chances and admits he needs to improve or face the axe.
Saha told the Daily Mirror: “I have to score more goals. For instance, in our game against Sunderland I had five or six real opportunities during the first half and I should have scored at least once. There are a lot of things I need to improve, I am still a young player. I have to be more realistic in front of goal and take my opportunities.”
And Saha accepts he will find himself out of the side at some stage during the season if he is not performing.
