Fulham are interested in signing the Coventry City goalkeeper Magnus Hedman, according to reports this afternoon.
The Swedish international is unsettled following the Sky Blues’ relegation from the Premiership and could resurrect his top flight career by joining the Whites, who stormed to the First Division title last season. Jean Tigana is keen to add an experienced goalkeeper to his squad ahead of their return to the top flight for the first time in 33 years and Fulham are readying a £4m bid for 28 year-old.
Hedman, whose arrival at Coventry’s Scottish pre-season training camp was delayed after a car accident that saw his wife Magedalena sustain whiplash, has told the Swedish press that he is looking to leave Coventry before the start of the new season:
“I will be with the squad until something happens, and hopefully that will be this week or next.”
