Fulham have completed the signing of French under-21 international Fabrice Fernandes from Stade Rennais on a season-long loan.

The 20 year-old, who broke into the Rennes’ first team as an eighteen year-old two years ago has scored three goals in 33 senior first appearances for the Ligue 1 side, held positive talks with Fulham boss Jean Tigana and manager director Michael Fiddy last week and is ‘looking forward’ to a first taste of English football, according to assistant manager Christian Damiano, who tracked Fernandes’ progress through the French youth set-up in his previous role as the head of youth development for the French Football Federation.

The exciting young winger will watch Simon Morgan’s testimonial against Premiership side Tottenham Hotspur at Craven Cottage and could make his first Fulham appearance in Saturday’s final pre-season friendly at AFC Bournemouth.
