Luke Cornwall scored the only goal of the game as Fulham made two wins from two in their summer tour of France by beating a French Select XI in a behind-closed doors friendly at Clairefontaine.
Cornwall, on as a second half substitute for Louis Saha, seized his chance to impress Jean Tigana by sidefooting home from six yards after a lovely passing move saw Bjarne Goldbaek and John Collins work a crossing angle for Steve Finnan down the Fulham right.
The Craven Cottage faithful will get their first look at Tigana’s charges when the Whites take on the Indian national side in a friendly by the banks of the River Thames on Saturday afternoon.
