Fulham have signed Arsenal midfielder Ian Selley for an initial fee of £500,000.
The England under-21 international has signed a three-year contract at Craven Cottage and is expected to go straight into Ray Wilkins’ side to take on AFC Bournemouth at Dean Court tomorrow afternoon. Selley, who helped the Gunners win the FA Cup, the League Cup and the Cup Winners’ Cup in his time at Highbury, broke his leg in February 1996 and made just one substitute appearance under new manager Arsene Wenger last season.
Selley is the second signing since Wilkins replaced Micky Adams as Fulham manager last month and will likely partner former Sunderland holding midfielder Paul Bracewell in a new-look engine room. The deal could be worth £750,000 in total depending on how many appearances Selley makes for the Cottagers.
