Fulham have completed the signing of experienced midfielder Glenn Cockerill on a free transfer.

The 36 year-old former Southampton star was released by Leyton Orient this summer and chose a reunion with his former Saints team-mate Micky Adams at Craven Cottage ahead of two other Third Division sides. Cockerill, who made 358 appearances for Southampton in eight years at The Dell, spent three seasons at Brisbane Road, playing 107 games for Orient and scoring eight goals.

After signing on the dotted line at Craven Cottage, Cockerill said: “I’m delighted to be here. I think Fulham are a sleeping giant and I’d love to help get them back to where they belong.”
