Fulham manager Micky Adams is aiming to end the impasse around Robbie Herrera’s future at Craven Cottage this week.
The popular full back has resisted signing a new deal with the Whites over the past twelve months as he has played on a month-to-month basis given the club’s precarious financial position. Adams admitted to the Fulham Chronicle that his efforts to tie down the left back over the summer proved fruitless because he struggled to get hold of the former Torquay United defender but the boss has made resolving Herrera’s future his big priority as the players return for pre-season training.
Adams said:
“It’s like Lord Lucan – maybe it is Robbie’s moustache! But every time I’ve phoned him, I’ve either just missed him or there’s some other excuse. But he has to return to training this morning like everyone else. I’m confident we can start to sort it out then.”
