Young full-back Duncan Jupp came through Fulham’s youth set-up, making the first-team bench as a scholar before making his senior debut on the opening day of the 1993-94 season, keeping a clean sheet at Hartlepool United. He was a consistent performer at right back despite Fulham’s relegation from the Second Division and was voted into the PFA Division Three team of the season for each of the following two campaigns. A popular figure at Craven Cottage, Jupp won nine Scottish under-21 caps before moving to First Division Wimbledon for £200,000 in July 1996.
