Promising left winger Junior Lewis was thrown into the first team by Don Mackay early in the 1992/93 campaign. He showed potential, but his career really took off after he was mentored by Peter Taylor at Gillingham after he had left Craven Cottage. Lewis eventually played Premier League football with Leicester City and made more than 400 league appearances before moving into coaching after hanging up his boots.
