A combative and attack minded left back also able to play in midfield, Martin Pike joined Fulham in February 1990 after falling out of favour at Sheffield United. He missed just two matches in his first three years at the club before succumbing to a serious injury and failing to win his place back from Robbie Herrera. The determined defender amassed more than 200 appearances for the Whites before being released shortly after Fulham had been relegated from the Second Division in 1994.
