Popular midfielder Ronnie Mauge arrived at Fulham from Charlton Athletic in the summer of 1988, quickly establishing himself in Ray Lewington’s first-choice midfield. He scored twice in 57 appearances before moving to Bury – and later became the first Plymouth Argyle player to score at Wembley as he headed the winner in the 1996 Third Division play-off final.
