Committed centre half Gary Peters had two spells with Fulham before ending his player career in the summer of 1990. He joined from Reading in August 1979, slotting straight into back four and, despite being sold to Wimbledon three years later, returned from the Royals in 1988 to finish his career at Craven Cottage.
